Hi, thanks for stopping by my portfolio. My name is Max and I’m a writer, advertising creative and a filmmaker based out of New York and LA. I have 10+ years of copywriting experience with ad agencies and in-house brand teams, and have written everything from manifestos and Serena Williams automative content to websites and social videos on how I.T. software works. Every brief is an opportunity to make magic happen. Collaboration is key. It’s all storytelling (all the time). As a seasoned creative, I bring conceptual curiosity, leadership instincts, a sixth sense for brand voice and practical skills to any team.
More about me: I have written and directed two short films. The latter of which, ETA, screened during BFI in 2025. Aside from writing, I bring 5+ years of film production experience to the table. I’m as comfortable producing as I am building pre-vis for shoots and directing actors and camera. Furthermore, my work as a screenwriter tends to explore American Gothic themes and often centers around character-driven drama with dark comedy and psychological thriller elements. I like movies that make the hairs on my arms stand up. And I like it when good ads do that too.
